House System
There are four houses with approximately 70 children in each house. All staff are associated with a house and each house has a staff member who is Head of House and a Deputy.
All the houses contain Buddy Groups that consist of 10-12 children with each group containing 2 or 3 children from every year group. At each house meeting (twice a term) the Buddy Group led by a member of staff will meet for 5/10 minutes to chat and have the opportunity to get to know each other. The groups are changed each year.
The house system allows competitions to be spread across the whole school such as handwriting, poetry, Easter egg pictures and house matches and many others. It also offers the opportunity for more positions of responsibility for the pupils alongside school prefects and form captains.
There is a House and Sports Cup each term and the points from the merit system, house competitions and the house matches are added together for the overall winners of the House Cup.
