Upper Prep (10-13 years)
In their final three years, boys are prepared for entrance or scholarship examination to the Public schools at 13+.
Teachers, house tutors and the Head Teacher involve themselves closely in the academic, extra-curricular and social progress of the pupils.
It is this individual attention within a small, happy environment where every pupil is encouraged to achieve success to the fullest level that has helped the school to gain its outstanding record of success.
The boys study all the normal subjects for Common Entrance including Latin and in some cases Greek.
In their final year the boys are placed in classes according to the requirements of the school for which they are entered. There is a class for boys who will compete for a scholarship, usually at St Paul's or Westminster, and two for those seeking to achieve a high pass mark at Common Entrance to senior schools such as University College School, City of London, Highgate, Mill Hill, Harrow and Aldenham. In recent years we have also sent boys to a variety of schools outside London.
