French Day 2014
Enjoyable and educational, French Day is an eagerly anticipated annual event at the Junior School. Every year the school is transformed into a French village and the children in Years 1 and 2 have the opportunity to experience French language and society in a very realistic setting.
Today, students looked the part as they embraced the French culture in red, white and blue. Pupils in Year 1 were treated to a French breakfast in which they got to sample pain au chocolate, croissant and brioche, all washed down with delicious chocolat chaud. The Year 2 pupils indulged in cheese tasting, rating and comparing a range of authentic fromage. The lunch room became the café with the teachers as the waiters and, best of all, everyone got to practice their French!
