“An exceptional aspect of the curriculum is the high quality of enrichment experiences and the wide range of extra-curricular activities that are an integral part of the students’ learning” – School Inspection Service 2015
Lunchtime & After School Clubs
Extra-curricular clubs are offered at lunchtime and after school to develop skills and interests, encouraging pupils to grow morally, culturally and physically. Activities vary each term to provide maximum choice for our students, whilst squad training continues for our numerous sports teams. Activities can include film appreciation, debating, close harmony singing, supporting the local community, running, photography, European culture and samba, to name but a few.

Our timetabled, weekly Enrichment Programme also allows pupils to explore new and unusual activities in vertical age groupings. All pupils can choose from an exhaustive list (around 25) of activities which vary each term and can include: engineering, chess, yoga, sports leadership, ethics, astronomy, literary genre, ancient cultures, dance, song-writing and costume design.
Workshops & Events
We are very proud to host a number of guest speakers, workshops and events which offer pupils experiences from the world of ancient Greece to an astronaut’s view on the future of space travel, scientific research, fiction-writing, charitable enterprise and politics. Year 10 pupils also benefit from a weekly live interview forum – World of Work – which offers a privileged glimpse into the realm of employment and supports their selection of work experience.
Trips & Visits
All pupils enjoy a number of excursions during the year, and memorable trips and visits have seen our pupils not only enjoy a wealth of London experiences, but venture further afield to Wales, Burgundy, Madrid, Valencia and Berlin.
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is one of the highly popular extra-curricular activities on offer at North Bridge House Senior School. Every year, pupils embark on the programme with the help and supervision of our specially trained staff, developing a range of skills as well as strength of character. Find out more here.
