He will be continuing his Sixth Form studies at NBH Canonbury, further to the school’s celebration of 36% A*-A grades at A-Level last week.

Fellow high achiever, Lara Pospisilova, is also celebrating success in the arts, with a grade 9 in both art and drama among an overall six grade 9s and three 8s, which have secured her Sixth Form place at the competitive University College School Hampstead.

Classmate Niccolo Galleni is delighted to have achieved seven grade 9s, plus two grade 8s and one 6, and will be pursuing his talents in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Music at NBH Canonbury’s Sixth Form in September.

Overall, three quarters of the cohort have scored a grade 7 or above in English Literature, two thirds have scored a grade 7 or above in English Language, and over half have scored the same in Maths.

Headteacher Mrs Charlotte Tassell-Dent concludes:

“I am enormously proud of both staff and students. Though we are an academically non-selective school, our mission is to help students achieve more than they believed possible, and there are so many individuals who have achieved outcomes above and beyond their starting point trajectories. Even though our Year 11’s path to exams has been significantly disrupted – with three lockdowns hindering the cohort’s first two years in secondary education – results like these are a dream come true, and our students should be very excited for the bright futures they have ahead.”
