NBH Canonbury Students Win Five Medals at the ISA National Swimming Championships

On Saturday 1 December, having been selected to represent London North, three North Bridge House Senior Canonbury students took part in the ISA National Swimming Championships at the London Aquatics Centre. All three swam fantastic races, boosting the points score for their regional team and earning impressive podium finishes.

National swimmer and Year 11 NBH Senior Canonbury student, Elena, won both of her races, finishing the 100m Freestyle in 59.78 seconds and the 50m Butterfly in just 30 seconds.

Following in her sister’s footsteps, Year 7 Annabel won bronze and silver medals in the 50m Freestyle and the 50m Butterfly respectively.  She completed the Freestyle in 32.73 seconds to gain third place and the Butterfly in 34.28 seconds to come second.

Fellow Year 7 Oscar finished his 50m Freestyle in third place with a time of 32.46 seconds, collecting NBH Senior Canonbury’s fifth medal!

Congratulations to all three students on their fantastic achievements at the Olympic Pool and thank you to the ISA for another great sporting event.
