Nursery Spring Chickens
In the run up to Easter, our Pre-Reception children swapped class life as the Bears and the Robins to become chirpy spring chickens. The first of their seasonal celebrations saw the children perform a concert for their parents – the theme being Spring. The children had been learning and practising their favourite spring songs for a few weeks and were very excited come the morning of the concert.
Staff and parents were so proud when the children took to the stage in their brightly coloured tops and lovely flowery hats. Having enjoyed regular rehearsals and confidence-building music lessons, they all put on a very happy and relaxed performance and were especially delighted when their parents joined in with some of the songs.
With still more spring in their step, the children then celebrated the end of term with an eggstra special Easter and spring parade. They were very excited to show their home-made bonnets to their teachers and friends and looked fabulous in their playground procession. The parade also included an Easter hunt for which art lessons had seen the children busy designing eggs fit for Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory – but sadly not edible!
Thank you to parents for their help with all the beautiful costumes and Happy Easter!
