NBH in the Community
We host many events, both within our individual schools and across the group, and enjoy participating in as many outreach projects and global charity initiatives as possible. Pupils and parents have plenty of opportunity to immerse themselves in our vibrant community and we take great pride in their significant contribution to our family atmosphere. They are involved in the organisation of a number of school events and fund-raising activities, from non-uniform days and cake sales to orchestral concerts and arts and crafts fairs.
North Bridge House is very much an open school and we encourage parents and guardians to become part of their child’s educational journey through parents’ evenings, casual drop-ins and school celebrations. We strive to unite school life and home life and invite parents to join us for constructive parental engagement groups, such as NBH Friends and NBH Future. We foster a positive and productive relationship with our parent body and welcome their contribution to the social culture and future development of the school.
Similarly, pupils are able to have an input into the effective running of the School once they reach North Bridge House Prep, where our thriving Form Representative Committee and prefect system take shape, and progress throughout our Senior and Sixth Form Schools.
Pupils also develop their leadership skills both within and beyond the school, and participate in a number of external competitions and initiatives such as the UK Maths Challenge and The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, as well as working with local charities and organisations.
