Prep School Curriculum

Praised by Ofsted (and more recently the Schools Inspectorate Service) for having a clear impact on teaching and pupils’ progress and helping to secure high standards in both, the Prep School curriculum aims to develop pupils’ general knowledge of a subject into a deeper understanding of its more advanced concepts.

All Prep School pupils benefit from a full and active curriculum of:

English, French, Spanish, Latin, Greek from year 6

Maths, Science, Computer Sciences

History, Geography

Art, Music, Drama

Life Skills, P.E.

Our girls are thoroughly prepared for either the 11+ examination to a wide range of top London day schools, or for the academic demands of our two sought after Senior Schools, North Bridge House Senior and North Bridge House Canonbury.

Meanwhile, our boys take on Latin and Greek, preparing for either Common Entrance and scholarship at 13+, or to continue languages at North Bridge House Canonbury.

From Year 6, girls and boys continue to thrive in a co-educational environment. Although they are taught separately in preparation for the 11+ and Common Entrance, they still enjoy many extra-curricular activities together including concerts, charity events, the school play and break times.
