Year 1’s Prep School Taster Morning
At North Bridge House, we aim to prepare children for the future from the outset, setting them up for every next stage of their education through a rich and fully rounded curriculum. At NBH Pre-Prep, children are taught by an entire team of Key Stage 1 specialists who therefore share the same knowledge and expertise and are all committed to the same outcomes.
We actively avoid reducing our pupils to unnecessary stress and limiting their learning to exam preparation at such a young age, and therefore prepare them for our high-achieving Prep School as opposed to 7+ testing.
The Prep School is renowned for advising pupils and their parents on the best senior schools in the country and for, year after year, successfully placing girls and boys at their first choice destinations with first-class results.
Whilst NBH Pre-Prep children automatically progress to the Prep School at the end of Year 2, we prepare and inspire them ahead of time, making the eventual transition a smooth and familiar one. Children enjoy taster mornings at the Prep School when they are in Year 1, escorted on the school bus to the grand former convent for all manner of exciting lessons.
On 25th January, the Year 1 Pre-Prep children embraced a timetable of Sport, Science, Music, Drama, ICT and Art at NBH Prep, inspired by the older prefect helpers.
