Our Nursery and Pre-Prep Schools in Hampstead are located in two separate Victorian villas, moments around the corner from one another, and provide a natural transition from preschool to Reception (4+). From day one, we are on a constant journey of getting to know them as an individual. We understand that success is not just about their academic achievement but also about finding and realising their true personal potential.
From ages 2 to 7, children are immersed in a fully rounded academic and extra-curricular programme, designed to develop the whole child, and delivered by subject specialists from the very start of their educational journey. We tailor our Early Years and Key Stage 1 provision to each child’s individual needs, establishing a genuine love of learning during the formative years of education and setting our children on a clear path, to find their True North.
Thank you for your interest in touring our school. One of our Admissions colleagues will be in touch soon to arrange a convenient time.
Knowing the individual.
We pride ourselves on really getting to know each individual child on their journey through Nursery and Pre-Prep, to Prep School and beyond. Through our personalised approach in a small school environment, we help each child to achieve their full potential from the start of their school career.
We develop the fundamental skills upon which pupils’ future successes are built, exceeding the Early Years and Key Stage 1 national averages for English and Maths by over 20%. We prepare pupils for progression to NBH Prep School and many of the top senior schools in the country thereafter.
Happiness is the key to success in the formative years of education. From philosophy and dance to school pets and Forest School, we grow pupils’ confidence and self-awareness while providing a learning experience which extends far beyond the four walls of the classroom.
We guide every child on their own unique path – watch this video to learn more.

Facilities & Location
Prime North London location.
Situated in the heart of leafy Hampstead, North Bridge House Nursery and Pre-Prep Schools occupy two Victorian villas, each with unusually large playgrounds for schools so close to central London. The beautifully designed play space facilitates pirate ship adventures, sport and games sessions, and a wealth of outdoor learning opportunities.
The Nursery School is situated on the prestigious Fitzjohn’s Avenue, between Hampstead High Street and Belsize Park. Our Pre-Prep School is moments around the corner on Netherhall Gardens, making the transition to Reception a very natural and seamless process for our pupils.
Having Hampstead Heath on our doorstep makes for a wealth of outdoor learning opportunities, while our on-site creative spaces and specialist teaching facilities allow us to bring our broad and enriching curriculum to life.
At North Bridge House Nursery & Pre-Prep Schools, we take children above and beyond the national curriculum to develop depth of understanding and mastery of concepts. Children benefit from specialist teaching in French, Italian, Music, Dance and Sport, while our award-winning Philosophy for Children programme develops self-awareness and is proven to enhance academic attainment. To all this, we add timetabled Forest School to enrich our children socially and emotionally. Nurturing confidence is central to our curricular design.
We understand that the Early Years are fundamental to a child’s academic and personal development, and we are committed to guiding and supporting both parents and pupils through school life here at North Bridge House Nursery & Pre-Prep. Alongside our relationship building ‘New to North Bridge’ events and community creating ‘Parent and Child’ mornings, we also provide expert advice on fussy eating, sleep, toilet training and screen time, focusing on your child’s development as a whole.
