North Bridge House has been shaping outstanding education in North London for over 80 years.
In September 2025, our Regent’s Park campus became Alleyn’s Regent’s Park, joining the Alleyn’s Schools Group and offering an exceptional education for ages 4–11 – a partnership founded on shared values of academic ambition, opportunity and care. Our Hampstead campuses will follow in September 2026, transitioning to become Alleyn’s Hampstead, an all-through school for ages 2–18.
Today, North Bridge House Canonbury stands as a thriving Senior and Sixth Form for students aged 11 to 18 in the heart of Islington – delivering academic excellence, a close-knit community and the confidence for every student to discover their own path to success.

Our Reception children became mini explorers today when Exotic Explorers paid us a visit 🌿
First up — Thing the Scorpion 🦂 Did you know his venom is only about as powerful as a hornet sting? And that scorpion mums carry their babies on their backs for up to 3 months?
Then came Fluffball the Tarantula 🕷️ Female tarantulas can live up to 30 years and have up to 300 babies a year. The faces when THAT landed 🤯

🎭 Shakespeare on the South Bank 🎭
Our Year 9 cohort spent Monday morning at the illustrious Globe Theatre. Students enjoyed a tour of the famous theatre before participating in a workshop on the play, Othello. Led by a theatre director, they loved the opportunity to engage with Shakespeare’s work away from the classroom and bring the show to life!

🎨 Colour Chemistry 🧪
A group of our Year 9 & 10 students took a trip to the Royal Institution’s Urenco Young Scientist Centre to study colour chemistry ⚗️
Our students started the day by making their own organic and inorganic dyes to observe how they interacted with various materials. In the second session, they were tasked with analysing various liquid samples to determine an unknown concentration. Not to mention… there may have been a demonstration with fire! 👀🔥
Thank you to the UYSC at @ri_science for hosting us. The students had a fantastic day getting hands on experience of how chemists work in lab spaces 🧑🔬

💎 Young Entrepreneurs in Action 💎
Our Year 9 students showcased impressive entrepreneurial skills by launching their own jewelry business over Easter.
Gaia, Ashton, Rinzin, and Eliza sold bracelets in Highbury Fields, earning £268.73 which they generously donated to Friends of the @rosebowl_hub.

🇪🇸 Exploring Spain! 🇪🇸
Our Year 9 to 11 Spanish students embarked on an unforgettable journey to Barcelona, Spain last term.
The highlight was reuniting with pen pals from @britishschoolbarcelona, after exchanging letters for two terms - it was fantastic to catch up in person 😊
Students immersed themselves in the language while visiting iconic landmarks like Park Güell, Barcelona’s Old Town, Arc de Triomf, Sagrada Família, Tibidabo Amusement Park, Museu Nacional D’art de Catalunya, and Poble Espanyol. What an adventure!

Skiing in the Dolomites was a dream come true! 🎿
Our students took on Val di Fiemme like pros, tackling chilly mornings and windy days with big smiles ⛷️
We loved watching them improve and have fun, whether they were seasoned skiers or just starting out.
And when the slopes closed, we had some special treats - a magician, sledding, and a well-needed ice cream stop! 🍨
