Healthy food choices

At North Bridge House, we are committed to serving our pupils nutritionally balanced meals.

Meat and vegetarian options, a salad bar, and other healthy alternatives are available every lunchtime. Pupils are also encouraged to indulge in the fresh fruit supplied every day and enjoy mealtimes with both staff and classmates. Teachers work hard to instil a positive attitude towards food in their pupils, encouraging them to try new things and educating them on the importance of a balanced diet.

As well as the rotation of main meals, the salad bar presents variously changing dishes to appeal to students’ healthy nature and provide extra sustenance alongside their hot lunch. This is further complemented by the range of fresh, homemade soups and bread on offer daily.

Catering

North Bridge House works with Thomas Franks to supply delicious lunches to our pupils.

Together we provide fresh, wholesome and delicious meals to our pupils, whatever their dietary requirements.

Launched in 2005, Thomas Franks sources the best seasonal produce, both local and regional, from family-owned catering specialists. Wherever possible, Thomas Franks always use fair trade and GM free products, together with free range and organic produce.

Pupils’ needs are at the centre of all Thomas Franks’ thinking, from menu design to sourcing their suppliers.
