This term eight Year 10 Senior Hampstead Chemistry students took part in the 2021 Royal Society of Chemistry’s UK Chemistry Olympiad. This is a national quiz, where teams of four compete in a range of challenging chemistry questions designed to test students’ critical problem-solving skills, inspire them to think more creatively and give them a chance to test their knowledge in new, real-world situations. Round one saw NBH Senior Hampstead students receive their best ever results, with  5 Silver awards and 11 Bronze awards. The second round will be held at a London University in the Spring.

Meanwhile, in the 2021 Bebras Computing Challenge, a challenge which promotes computational thinking and problem-solving among students, 21 NBH Senior Hampstead students came in the top 10% of the UK! They are now invited to compete in the second round in February 2022.
