We are by their side, every step of the way
At North Bridge House Nursery & Pre-Prep School, we are committed to developing the ‘whole’ child, adopting an integrated vision for pupils’ education and wellbeing. Our academic and pastoral provisions go hand-in-hand; all staff are committed to creating a fully supportive learning environment in which every child gains a sense of belonging, connectedness and purpose.
We work in conjunction with parents and guardians to build strong links between home and school, and this starts at the very beginning of your journey with us.
PUPIL WELLBEING IS AT THE HEART OF ALL WE DO
We provide a smooth transition.
Our programme of themed New to North Bridge events is designed to create a stress-free transition into Nursery or Pre-Prep. From adventures in art to storytelling and science investigations, these events are a great opportunity for parents and children to get to know our teaching team ahead of their official start date.
Come your child’s first day, they are familiar with their new learning environment and already settled in with friends and familiar faces.
We ensure pastoral needs are met.
The health and happiness of our pupils is very much at the forefront of education; whether it’s completing acts of kindness to fill their kindness buckets, or trying their own homemade sandwiches, we provide constant opportunities for our children to express and manage their emotions and develop independence outside of the family unit.
Our child-centred approach to learning is supported by our Pre-Prep Philosophy for Children programme. This encourages pupils to recognise and talk about big ideas while developing their self-awareness. Golden emails continue to open dialogue between the school and home and recognise children for their social and emotional development.
We talk to the experts.
We host talks by specialists in their fields so that we can expertly navigate child development and empower our Nursery and Pre-Prep parents with practical parenting tips.
These expert insights on essential topics such as sleep, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing, offer invaluable guidance and resources for the whole school community.
We connect with nature.
We root learning in the great outdoors wherever possible, using children’s affinity with the natural world to promote their physical and mental wellbeing.
Whether they are on a timetabled trip to Forest School or completing their certificates of achievement in the Royal Horticultural School Gardening Awards, our children are working on their self-confidence, social and emotional skills, developing the resilience to thrive inside and outside the classroom.
