A warm welcome to North Bridge House Nursery Hampstead.

North Bridge House Nursery School is a co-educational day nursery in the heart of Hampstead, North London, located on leafy Fitzjohn's Avenue.

We have gained the enviable reputation of nurturing and developing children to their full potential within a happy and exciting school environment, instilling an ‘I can’, ‘I am’ attitude in all learners.

We welcome children aged 2 to 4 years into our truly special pre-school setting, where their wellbeing is at the forefront of successful learning and development.

We provide children with exciting, creative, and meaningful learning experiences, to build their enthusiasm for learning and help them to grow and develop both academically and personally.

We take a holistic and child-centred approach to developing our young learners, educating the whole child via a rich and varied curriculum, delivered by committed and inspirational teachers.

Children benefit from hands-on, active learning and our enabling environments - inside and outside the classroom - offer depth and relevance to learning; children can use their problem-solving skills and creative ideas to learn new things or extend and challenge previous learning and understanding. Through careful monitoring of our mixed ability cohort, our dedicated staff ensure that the curriculum is individually tailored to support and challenge every child, and we are extremely proud of the achievements they make.

We pride ourselves on knowing every one of our unique children within our wonderfully diverse school community, and on knowing our families as partners in their child’s education.

Both pupils and parents enjoy a range of extra-curricular and highly anticipated events throughout the year. Termly excursions, Forest School trips and after school clubs are favourites with the children, whilst family and friends enjoy regular plays, concerts, coffee mornings, and annual Sports Days.

A warm welcome to North Bridge House Pre-Prep Hampstead.


North Bridge House Pre-Prep School is a co-educational day school situated in the heart of the Hampstead community, welcoming children aged 4 to 7.

We are very proud of our diverse and nurturing school environment, celebrating that every child is unique and growing their confidence and academic potential in a low stress, educationally enriched setting. Removing the pressure of 7+ entrance examinations, we prepare pupils for automatic entry to North Bridge House Prep School, achieving results way above the national average in English and maths.

We offer a broad curriculum - taking into account the needs of the individual pupil - which is enhanced by subject specialist teaching in French, Italian, music, PE and dance, plus regular visits to Forest School and outings to London’s great many attractions. Enrichment days and school events including Book Week, Science Week, French Day and Anti-Bullying / Friendship Week are widely enjoyed by all the children. We also offer a wide variety of academic, sporting and extra-curricular activities, including the hugely popular LAMDA.

Our school is a happy school with a friendly, family atmosphere. We are committed to providing the very best for our children - academically, socially, and personally – to ensure they thrive and reach their full potential.

Our academic staff work very closely with one another to tailor the curriculum for each child, allowing them to realise their goals through exciting and inspirational teaching methods. Staff form excellent relationships with our pupils and the classroom environment encourages children to develop their self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-confidence, which is also developed through our award-winning Philosophy for Children programme. Through a philosophical approach, pupils are taught to work hard and to demonstrate resilience when they encounter problems.

Our culturally rich curriculum also develops a strong awareness of different faiths, ethnic backgrounds and cultural traditions in our pupils. Pupils demonstrate respectful and considerate attitudes and broaden their global perspective from the early years of education. They are well prepared to play a positive role in modern Britain.
