All North Bridge House Schools focus on delivering a broad and innovative curriculum taught by specialist teachers. We are committed to the personal development of our pupils and, as such, provide an outstanding social, moral, spiritual and cultural programme, which we incorporate into all aspects of school life.

Good Schools Guide

North Bridge House Senior Canonbury

"Canonbury's success is the sum of parts: small school, small classes, late start Wednesdays for all, differentiated and hi-tech teaching delivered by sympathetic teachers who ‘don’t overload us with stress’."

"Pupils say they ‘are never bored’ and we confess to reluctance at leaving fascinating maths class on equations: clever use of white boards (two) and central screen hooked up to computer-generated presentation allowed romp through world’s most famous equations, like E=mc2, on one hand and brush up of GCSE essentials on other. Some students encouraged to opine on theory of relativity whilst others coaxed to recall calculation for area of triangle. Whole class fully engaged and encouraged by teacher’s repeated assurances that we all knew more than we realised."

ISI School Inspection Report

May 2023
  • "All leavers in 2022 gained a place at their first-choice institution, many with high entry requirements or in specific fields, or took a gap year. Academic outcomes are excellent for all pupils whatever their challenges and starting points."

  • "Results in GCSE are equally indicative of the high quality of teaching and learning."

  • "Pupils have a good measure of success in extra-curricular activities, with some pupils' achievements being considerable for their ages, particularly in art and drama."

  • "Older pupils are particularly eloquent about the effect that the school, and especially the senior staff, has had on their development and achievement, citing the support of their teachers. Sixth form pupils told inspectors that they feel confident about themselves and their futures. This is largely due to the excellent pastoral care in fulfilment of the school's aim to celebrate each pupil as an individual in a secure and nurturing environment."
