North Bridge House Nursery and Pre-Prep Schools are particularly high-achieving, with overall standards of reading, writing and maths well above average. Children naturally progress from Nursery to Pre-Prep at the end of Reception (age 5), where the curriculum is built entirely around Key Stage 1 and prepares children for our highly successful Prep School without the added pressure of 7+ entrance exams.
To track pupil progress in a stress-free environment, we use the progress test series provided by the leading provider of formative assessments to schools in the UK, GL Assessment. This determines an age-standardised score (SAS) for pupils, taking into account each pupil’s age in years and months and giving an indication of how NBH pupils are performing relative to the national average.
