They learn about the importance of nutrition, as well as the many different tastes and ingredients that make up the food we eat. We set the children practical challenges and encourage them to further their knowledge, skills and creativity.

Drama Club (Years 1 and 2)
Drama Club is intended to develop children’s performance skills as well as their confidence, articulation, communication, co-ordination and other life skills. It’s also guaranteed to be lots of fun!
We cover many different aspects of drama and encourage creative growth by giving children the chance to share their own ideas and perform in small groups. Over the course of the school year, original plays are created with the children and material is personalised for different groups. These plays are established through fun improvisation, then scripted and performed using props and costumes.

Jazz Dance (Years 1 and 2)
In addition to many of our regular after school clubs, in the Autumn Term we are bringing a new and exciting jazz dance club. The programme is called JazzAddict and is relatively new to the UK. It is currently taught in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, China, Macau and South Africa.
The programme is suited to any child who loves to dance. No prior experience is needed, but if your child has some dance experience, then they will love it just as much as those without any experience.
The syllabus teaches students technical skills, performance skills, as well as, creativity. All JazzAddict teachers are professional dancers with prior teaching experience.

Mangahigh (Years 1 and 2)
Mangahigh provides an online platform where students learn Mathematics via purpose-built casual games that balance fun and learning.
Mangahigh activities are always adapting in difficulty so that challenges are neither too hard nor too easy and is the level at which optimal learning takes place. All Mangahigh games encourage players to strive to achieve by repeating a simple step over and over again. Each game develops pupils’ ability and curiosity to observe, hypothesize, test, evaluate, conclude and refine ideas. Mangahigh games provide powerful contexts that often bring out the ‘real-world’ application of the topic, increasing the pupils’ interest and encouraging them to explore further.
Mangahigh is already being used at NBH Prep and has proved to be very effective.
