After School Clubs
Extra-curricular clubs are offered at lunchtime and after-school to develop skills and interests, encouraging pupils to grow morally, culturally and physically. Activities include debating, Mandarin, inter-house sports, music, running, photography, and Italian, to name but a few.
Our Enrichment Programme also allows pupils to explore new activities in vertical age groupings, and take on various leadership, entrepreneurial and community roles. The Young Enterprise programme is particularly popular with our Sixth Form students, who set up and run their own business for the year.
Other activities are designed to prepare our students for the wonders and responsibilities of adult life, such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award and courses in financial management, owning a home, applying for a mortgage and owning a vehicle. Weekly tutorial programmes provide students with opportunities to debate and develop knowledge and opinions around current and topical affairs. Such programmes develop critical analysis and thinking skills, enabling our students to grow into reflective individuals that make a good impression at interview.
World of Work
Our ‘World of Work’ lecture programme features speakers from varying industries and workplaces and is designed to inspire and educate students, allowing them to make informed choices about their professional development and academic pathway. Students have the option to attend as many lectures as they are interested in and question professionals on the nature of their careers and how they arrived in their positions. An additional work experience programme provides students with an insight into these particular industries.
