WELCOME TO HAMPSTEAD NURSERY & PRE-PREP
At NBH Hampstead Nursery & Pre-Prep School (becoming Alleyn’s Hampstead in September 2026), children aged 2 to 7 are immersed in a wholly holistic education, delivered by a truly caring team of experienced staff and subject specialists, each dedicated to inspiring a curiosity for knowledge. We pride ourselves on really getting to know each individual child on their journey through Nursery & Pre-Prep, tailoring our approach to make our already warm environment optimal for every learner. Whether your child joins us the day they turn 2-years-old, at age 3, or 4+, they will thrive in our culture of care, where teachers create meaningful relationships to support the growth of confidence and resilience, and utilise high staff to pupil ratios to help every child achieve their full potential.
FOSTERING EXCELLENCE
Our wide and enriching learning experience sees children explore the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and Key Stage 1 core curricula and so much more. Subject specialist teaching sparks wonder in everything from drama and storytelling, music, gym and dance, to French, Italian and Forest School, providing a broad platform for academic and creative excellence and plenty of opportunity for children to develop their own passions and interests ahead of Prep School.

This is Gigi, our pupil turned Headteacher for a day! Thanks to a lucky raffle ticket at the Summer Fair, Gigi swapped the classroom for the office and took on the top job for 24 hours.
Gigi had a schedule packed with real responsibilities: co-leading assembly with Mrs Cartwright-Styles, chairing a Senior Leadership Team meeting, and handling a surprise call from Mr Jones at Senior Hampstead to discuss important school matters.
She joined staff for lunch (with a well-deserved seat at the table!) before wrapping up her big day with a handwritten letter to her parents, reflecting on everything she’d experienced.
A brilliant effort from Gigi, the school was in excellent hands! 💼✨

Our Year 9 girls recently took part in three focused sessions on skincare, nutrition, and sport & exercise, focused on the physical and emotional changes of adolescence.
Led by PE teacher Miss Donnelly, Nutritionist and French teacher Ms Le Labourier, and an expert dermatologist with global skincare experience, the sessions explored:

🧴 Skincare tips tailored for teenage skin
Each hour-long session was designed to equip our students with the knowledge and confidence they need to feel their best during this transformative stage of life - it’s vital our students feel informed, supported, and confident.

Our final day of the summer term was full of celebration and a few slices of cake, of course! Each class enjoyed their own party, and we even marked a few birthdays along the way - a wonderful end to another fantastic year.

A day to remember at Wimbledon!
A lucky group of students spent Quarter Finals Day soaking up the atmosphere, watching world-class tennis, and enjoying strawberries on Henman Hill.
They were then treated to an amazing afternoon on Centre Court - watching Sabalenka battle through a gripping three-set match, followed by Alcaraz showcasing incredible skill in his straight-sets win over Norrie. The trip ended with pizza in the Southern Village before heading home! Students were selected for their outstanding attitude in PE this year, a well-deserved treat and a much sunnier outing than their last rain-soaked visit! 🌞🍓🎾

Year 1 recently ventured into the wild at Hobbledown Heath, where they enjoyed a science-packed day discovering animals in interactive enclosures - from capybaras and lemurs to birds of prey!
They voyaged through four themed play villages, complete with tunnels, towers, water play, and giant net parks; climbed wooden forts; raced down slides; and even met friendly farm creatures.
A perfect hands-on celebration to crown an incredible year of growth, exploration and wonder! 🐾🌿

We’ve just wrapped up Sports Day 2025 at StoneX Stadium! The day has been nothing short of House spirit and healthy competition. Students took part in a range of activities including the relay, 100m sprint, tug of war, long jump, sack race, javelin - showing fantastic effort throughout the day.
Well done to all our students for making it such a memorable day, as always, and thank you to our brilliant PE team and wider staff for organising another great Sports Day. We’re also grateful to the parents who came along to support.
