A tailored and ambitious education
At North Bridge House Canonbury, academic excellence is built on personalised teaching, high expectations, and an inclusive curriculum that supports each student’s individual journey. From the moment pupils join us in Year 7 through to A-Level study, we provide a broad and balanced education that enables them to discover their interests, fulfil their potential, and confidently take their next steps.
Our teaching approach combines subject rigour with a focus on critical thinking, creativity and collaboration, preparing students not just for exams, but for life.
Key Stage 3 and GCSE
Laying strong foundations
In Years 7–9, students follow a well-rounded curriculum that sparks curiosity across the core academic disciplines: English, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, and Languages, alongside specialist subjects such as Design & Technology, Computer Science, and the Arts. Our ‘high support, low pressure’ ethos ensures that every pupil is both challenged and nurtured.
In Years 10 and 11, students begin to specialise, selecting a combination of GCSE subjects that reflect their strengths and ambitions. Alongside academic study, they continue to develop essential life skills through a rich programme of enrichment, PSHE, and personal development.
Sixth Form
A bespoke A-Level pathway
In Sixth Form, students pursue a personalised programme of A-Level study, guided by expert teachers and specialist tutors. With small class sizes and tailored academic support, our sixth formers develop the independence, confidence, and intellectual curiosity required for success at university and beyond.
Our curriculum is complemented by a strong careers and university guidance programme, leadership opportunities, and co-curricular enrichment that fosters rounded, forward-thinking individuals.
Enrichment
Beyond the classroom
Our curriculum is enriched by a vibrant programme of activities that supports each student’s personal development. From the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and LAMDA to student-led initiatives and academic clubs, enrichment is embedded in school life - helping students to discover their passions, develop leadership skills, and become confident contributors to the world around them.
