North Bridge House Canonbury students are celebrating another fantastic year of GCSE results, with 62.2% of all grades awarded at 7–9, compared with 23.1% nationally.

This year’s results highlight the breadth of achievement across the curriculum, reflecting the academic ambition, creativity and dedication of our students.

Strong performances across the curriculum

In Maths, 60% of students achieved grades 7 or above, while 64% achieved grades 7–9 in English Language. The Humanities were another area of strength, with 70% of History students achieving grade 7 or above.

The school’s reputation for creative excellence was also reflected in this year’s results. In Drama, 57.1% of students achieved grades 8–9, while an impressive 64% of Art students achieved grade 8 or above.

Our Languages students enjoyed exceptional success. All German and Russian students achieved grade 9, while 100% of Mandarin students achieved grades 8–9. Meanwhile, 88.9% of Spanish and French candidates achieved grades 7–9.

STEM subjects also delivered some outstanding results. In Chemistry, 68% of students achieved grade 7 or above, alongside strong performances in Physics and Biology. In Further Maths, every student achieved a grade between 7 and 9, while our Computer Science students also achieved excellent results.

A strong foundation for the future

Across the cohort, 87% of students achieved grade 5 or higher in both English Language and Maths, while more than 60% secured five or more grades at 7 or above.

There were also some exceptional individual performances. Georgina achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 8, while Alex achieved eight grade 9s and two grade 8s. Congratulations also to students Daisy, Abigail M., Odhrain and Daniel who achieved all of their results at grade 8 or above!

These results are a testament to the hard work, ambition and determination of our students, alongside the expertise and dedication of our teaching staff. Together, they provide a strong foundation as our students take their next steps into Sixth Form and beyond.
